+ What are the primary care hours of operation?
Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM
+ Who is eligible to use the center?
Services at The Healthy Living Center are available to all Full Time Walgreen's employees and their spouse/dependents covered on a Walgreen's medical plan ages 14 years and older.
+ How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment online or call 847-580-0002.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 9-1-1.
+ Are appointments required or can I walk in?
The center will be available by appointment. Same day and walk-in appointments will be accommodated; however appointments are encouraged to reduce possible wait time.
+ What services does the health center provide?
The Healthy Living Center is your first stop for a diagnosis, routine primary care, prescription refill, annual physical, immunization, or lab work. The center is equipped to handle a variety of personal medical needs. Please visit the Services page for more detailed information.
+ If I do not have insurance through Walgreens, can I still use the center?
Yes, and your insruance carrier will billed after your appointment. We do not accept Medicaid.
+ Can I do lab/blood test orders from another provider at the center?
Yes, the center can perform blood draws ordered by an outside provider. Please bring your lab orders and insruance card with you to your appointment.
+ Is the center an approved provider for workers’ compensation claims?
If I get hurt on the job, can/should I go to the center?
The center will offer basic first aid as well as emergency care in certain situations. The center is not an approved provider for workers’ compensation claims. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 9-1-1.
+ Can I make an appointment during working hours?
Yes, the center is open from Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5 PM, excluding holidays. Please work with your supervisor to ensure proper notice/coverage for your position.
+ Who manages the center?
Premise Health operates the center.
+ Is my health data secure and private? Will my employer have access to my medical records?
Your personal health information is confidential and your data is kept secure. The Healthy Living Center operates in accordance with HIPAA and works diligently to protect all health records. Premise Health can’t share any personal health information without your permission. Rest assured, your personal health information is not shared with your employer. Additionally, Premise Health operates through a private network and software systems that cannot be accessed by Walgreens Associates. Notice of privacy practices are available for review within the Healthy Living Center.
+ Am I required to use the center?
No, the center is offered as on onsite convenience for our Walgreens team members, their spouses and dependents.
+ Will I have to change my doctor because of the center?
No, the center is offered as a benefit to Walgreens team members, their spouses and dependents age fourteen and older as a convenience. You are not required to discontinue services with any of your current/future outside providers.
